There was a night light feast in Rotterdam this winter. From
Dec. 7th 2012 till Feb. 14th 2013 visitors of China Light
Festival could immerse themselves into a spectacular world of colorful lights
on the black background of night.
I was waiting and waiting for a bit warmer evening to go and
capture these wonders but the evenings in Rotterdam were not getting warmer! So
almost close to the end of this event I received an email from my colleague
photographer who was urging me to join her in this quest. So I did. I put on
the warmest clothing I had, grabbed my reliable and sturdy but somewhat heavy
tripod, and dove into the Rotterdam night. It was absolutely worth it. We spent
2 hours there and got some wonderful images. See for yourself!
