City of Rotterdam is associated
with many different things in the minds of Dutch. Some associations are
negative, some are positive. For me this is a modern, vibrant city that went
through a rebirth couple of times. First – rebuilding itself after bombing of
WW2, and second time – modernizing itself starting around 10-15 years ago and
going from a dirty port city to an environmentally conscious and fresh young
international city.
I call it a playground for most
daring architects in the Netherlands. Where else will you see so many examples
of unusual modern, sometimes even experimental architecture?! This is not your
typical old Dutch city with narrow streets, very old buildings, and historical
center.
I don’t find it overwhelming or tasteless
as some people might think. It is always a pleasure to walk with friends,
colleagues, or guests and to show my favorite spots in my new home city! This
time it was with colleagues – we walked along Veerhaven, river Maas, and later
climbed on Euromast.
I specialize in engagement and wedding, family, portraiture, school, and event photography.
